The social commentary at the core of George's work extends beyond his music. Through collaborations with charities such as The Stephen Lawrence Trust and Prince Harry's Sentebale, he has spoken out on issues ranging from police brutality to HIV and AIDS treatment.
The Poet also lends his talents to publicity initiatives that particularly resonate with him, such as the 2015 NHS Organ Donor drive, or the ethical decision-making initiative, FHPC.
Since 2012, George the Poet has applied his knack for bespoke messaging to both commercial and corporate projects. A favourite with Formula 1 fans, he has written and performed poetry specials for the Monaco Grand Prix as well as two season-closers. During the same time, he was twice commissioned by Prince Charles' charity, Business in the Community, for poetry about Corporate Social Responsibility. More recently, George opened the 2015 Rugby World Cup with a poem of his own.
